Hello friends! It has been far too long since I’ve written. The world can be difficult to navigate these days with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the social unrest. The quote above by C.S.Lewis is one I read a long time ago, a pivotal moment in the realization that all things are a matter of perspective. It is, in my opinion, why commonality is so hard to imagine, let alone agree upon. My experiences have taught me that judging is often easier than extending friendship. Our fears of the unknown, heighten our defenses and make it hard to trust others. Until a hand of friendship is extended and a bridge of trust is built, the human race will continue to deteriorate.
The Bible gives us the answer to our global conflicts in Matthew 5:43-48, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”
The Bible also tells us about judging, in Matthew 7:1-5, “Do not judge, so that you may not be judged. For with the judgment you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? Or how can you say to your neighbor, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor’s eye.”

Thanks for stopping by, your support is truly appreciated. Love is light and easy, unlike hate that can be so cumbersome.
Until next time…🌻💛🙏🏻
