The answer is always, God. I wrote the following words earlier today and as I was reading my devotions tonight, the answer was God, always it is God. My words were heavy and true but after being reminded through the scripture, I am never alone and God is always my true answer to anything and everything. Just as the lighthouse guides the ships safely on their journey, God is our strong tower, a lighthouse in the storms of life.

Some Days
Another day, twenty-four hours
Days pass along on repeat
Flat, my sense of being is flat
Wondering the why, the how, when
Food, a comfort now is flavorless
Television once a distraction, now empty
Driving, a journey to any where
It now holds little attraction
Sleep an escape, it too is unappealing
Drifting into unconsciousness, dull
My body aches, and yet numbing
Is it possible to feel nothingness
Writing exposes and allows cracks
Visibility, vulnerability and silence too
My prayer remains, God
God, you are my prayer.
