Do You Count Your Blessings?
Today, I have been thinking about all the blessings God has given to me. I try to thank God often for them. I even share my blessings with others and through my conversation. I am so fortunate to work with other believers in the faith. I do not feel constrained by work policies to avoid certain topics (politics and religion) that are often frowned upon in the workplace. I present myself simply as ME, I am a Christian and I am a sinner, no way around that fact. I am good and not so good all rolled up together. I don’t pretend to be something I am not. I have a full range of emotions and sometimes take them to extremes. My language can become quite “unladylike” at times, what some might call “sailor or trucker” talk. I share this only because, I know I can do better and I am by no means proud of some of my antics but it’s the real me. *Please know that I mean no disrespect to sailors or truckers. I know that God loves me and most likely gets frustrated with me, just like any parent would be with their child. “Two steps forward, one step back” is still progress. I know and accept I am a work in progress. God does not ask or expect perfection from me or you. He knows we will always fall short, God desires that we thrive for truth, His truth.
“So this is my command: Love each other deeply, as much as I have loved you.”
John 15:12 (TPT)
“For if you embrace the truth, it will release true freedom into your lives.”
John 8:32 (TPT)
As I read my devotional for today, I read something that felt like my moral compass was being tested.
God speaking, “Do not be tempted by the mentality that you have been blessed with enough and that you should be content with what you have for fear that others will miss out. My kingdom works in a different way; there is more than enough for everyone. Keep feeding the hunger of your heart by partaking in what I offer you.” — I Hear His Whisper For Women
God wants to bless everyone and having an abundance should not make you feel guilty. Thank God with gratitude in your heart and with thanksgiving in your voice. Press on in life and thirst for His truth in your life. The more time we spend with God and in His Word; the closer we will grow in our relationship with Him. Our understanding will increase as we gain wisdom and God will reveal more of Himself to us.

“When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me, says the Lord.”
Jeremiah 29:13-14a (NRSV)

“For everyone who listens with an open heart will receive progressively more revelation until he has more than enough.”
Matthew 13:12 (TPT)
