Lent 2021 Daily Devotionals

Hello friends—

Today is February 6th, 2021 and Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 17th. That’s in just 11 days!!!! I hope you will visit my blog during this season of the Christian life. I have decided on using a devotional book written by Henri Nouwen to guide me and share with you. The book is, “Show Me The Way.” I certainly can use some clarity in my life right now. This past year and continuing today has been a struggle for me and I’m sure for many of you as the COVID pandemic continues. Let me be very clear, struggles or struggling is not a sign that you have lost your way or even your connection with the Divine…let’s be honest, life is hard right now PERIOD! Perspective helps, could life be worse, the answer should always be a hardy, YES! I am reminded that no matter how bad I think things are, they could always be worse. No matter life’s circumstances, God is in control and God loves me/you! Please hold onto those two truths. I am looking forward to Lent for multiple reasons, increasing and clarifying my relationship with God. I have missed my church family, attending and participating in group activities. I miss hugs! I miss the embrace of friends! Sending love and encouragement to all of you reading! 🤍🙏🏻

    I am looking forward to your Lenten writings! This year has been difficult for all of us. I do believe we, as a community of God Lovers, can hold on to hope. I miss you & your hugs! I miss spending time with Esther Circle and worshipping together.
    I have a heart full of hope for a new future, as we navigate this pandemic. My hope is that never again do we take friendship & connection & hugs for granted.
