A place where my thoughts, words and feelings converge…
Category: Portraits of Life – Seeing God in All
I have discovered a new and exciting hobby of taking photos and sharing God’s Words as they inspire me to be in complete “AWE” of how great our God is! I hope you enjoy the photos.
I would like to first say THANK YOU to some very special individuals that contributed to my donation page in support of Team Boo Bees and Pledge the Pink Foundation. Our goal is to raise money and awareness for breast cancer prevention, treatment and research for a cure.
Thank you each, I will try to be worthy of your support. I have many others who are supporting me through prayers and I am so appreciative of those individual prayer warriors. God has given each of us gifts and it is in how we use them that brings glory to God. Whether through your time, your talents or your financial support they are all equally important and cherished by me.

Hello friends, I had an opportunity to spend some time out in nature this past week and captured some (my opinion) beautiful fall colors. I hope you enjoy the short video.
I give thanks to God for His handiworks.

Hello friends, these words came to me today as I was contemplating life, my life and it’s composition. I was raised in a rural area of Indiana with loving parents. I have a baby brother, who’s no longer a baby and has grown into a good man, husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. The older I get the more I appreciate him. I was fortunate to grow up with many aunts, uncles, cousins and even second cousins. I experienced life in a community were I was not fearful of playing outside even into the twilight. I loved riding my bike and playing in the yard, as the neighborhood kids would also do. As I write this, it sounds even a bit “hokey” to me, but it’s all true. I have found as I age the hurts of youth soften, not go away but I also do not allow them to steal precious time from me any longer. Looking through the lens of maturing eyes gives me perspective, for all the wrongs that I have received, and those I have given. Wisdom of age, nothing is fair and will never be so. Pinned up anger can only rob us of joys, current and unseen. It is true, the slogan “Just Be Kind.” It costs you nothing to give and you might just get something more precious in return.
As I sit and pondering all the bitterness, brokenness and wrongs that have befallen to me, I have a choice…allow myself to become engulfed with rage and resentment or I can look at what I have gained from each experience I have endured. Whether you put much thought into the cultural thoughts around the world, how can one deny that without pain, how would one know joy? Life is balance, it can be represented in all areas of living; too much of one thing can throw off balance. Sleep and waking; nutritious food and yummy foods, play and work, study and knowledge, etc.

Balanced living means considering all aspects of your life: relationships, work, fitness and health, and emotional well-being.
We all get bogged down with work and family responsibilities from time to time, but making time for yourself is necessary so that you can keep up with all your responsibilities. All batteries get run down, even yours. So recharge your body physically and mentally and make the commitment to enjoy some “you time” every day.

I guess what I’m trying to convey is life can be what you want it to be. I’m not saying our choices will be without challenges or disappointments but they can be, indeed BE exactly what we want, need and desire. A friend of mine taught me in times of uncertainty, “Trust The Plan” she helped me see that our Creator knows us and knows what’s best for us and we need only trust in Him.

Hello friends, I have just finished reading C.S.Lewis’ book, “Till We Have Faces.” It was a book filled with “all the feels” to say it contains all the elements of a great book, well that would be an understatement. I am always astonished at the mastery of C.S.Lewis’ writings, he can transport a person to far away lands or even out into the universe, and all the while keeping our feet planted firmly where we stand. Not only does Lewis do this…He always brings into focus and draws the reader into the knowledge of God. His writings weave together the things of earth and of God. His unique ability to write for children and adult alike are so rare and beautiful.
After I had finished reading the book, “Till We Have Faces.” I read a few reviews and found one that summarized the story best written by Fr. Richard Conlin. I have posted a link below for you to read as well. Maybe it will interest you to read the book as well. No matter our ages, reading a fantasy fairytale is good for oneself.
Thank you for visiting my blog today, it brings joy to my heart. I hope you have found something new or interesting during your visit. I am blessed by you and you are a blessing to others. Just Be Kind 💛🍁🌾🍂🌻

I am a newbie to Pledge the Pink (2022). I am part of an extraordinary group of women who are passionate about beating cancer. My team is called, Team Boo Bees. We are raising money for cancer awareness, prevention and research. Our team goal is to raise $20,000 and my personal goal is $2,000. Every little bit helps, prayers are always welcomed. I will be traveling to Fripp Island, SC in October to participate in a three day event: 3 Days/30 Miles. If you are interested in making a donation I will provide a link below. I will also provide information about the foundation.
This is Fancy.
What is Pledge the Pink?
Pledge the Pink Foundation is a nonprofit public charity dedicated to funding breast cancer screening, treatment, outreach and research. We provide funding for free mammograms, medical assistance, and outreach services to the people who need it most and too often are lost in a system of endless paperwork.
Happiness or sadness, the person I want most to share it with is my mom.
My mom and her mom (grandma) 1989
When a daughter loses her mother, she doesn’t stop being that mother’s little girl. I lost my mom very suddenly over ten years ago and today is her birthday. I am writing to celebrate her and what she meant to me. It’s a privilege and an honor call her my mom, Happy Birthday, Mom!
🎂•🎉•🎈•🎁•❤️•🙏🏻
Me and mom (1989)
She inspired me to be brave and courageous, kind and giving, honest and dedicated. There are days my hearts aches to just be held in her arms one more time. Then, there are days of joy, wanting to call her on the phone for a chat and share my day with her.
Today, she will be celebrating her tenth birthday in heaven; if such things happen. Either way, in my mind she is and I know it’s glorious. I would love to hug and kiss her one more time, but for now I will hold onto our last goodbye.

From the Gospel of John
“Very truly, I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will have pain, but your pain will turn into joy. So you have pain now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.”
John 16:20, 22

Paul’s Letter to Corinth and Achaia
“For our slight, momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure, because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen, for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal. So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day.” —2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Interesting bit of history about this specific spot, my parents were both baptized right under this bridge in September 1963.
