Hope

It is difficult to put into words

How my soul and body ache

The aching of emotions

Causing pains to the physical

My heart hurts for so many

So many things

My world seems tiny at times

The whole world needs healing

This I know for certain

I must start with me

Not a selfish choice at all

For I know if my heart is broken

I cannot fully be prepared to help

I want to heal and help others too

I also know I am never alone

God is always with me

God the Creator and Father to all

His love comes in many forms

The friends He has placed in my life

They give me courage and comfort

Though the world is broken

Compassion is resilient

Daily, I am blessed by strangers

A simply “hello” or a beautiful smile

Our lives, I have discovered

Are not about comparisons

Our lives are about sharing

Compassion and hope
