Celebration & Gratitude

Today is my birthday! 🥳🎉🎂

I am so very blessed with many friends and family that show me love and support not just for one day out of the year, but each day of my life! Today, I want to show some extra love for the two best things in my life.

🔹 God and my Mom 🔹

I am grateful for my Creator, my Lord and Savior for this life entrusted to me. Thankful for God’s relentless love and His abundant grace.

“For it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; that I know very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes beheld my unformed substance. In your book were written all the days that were formed for me, when none of them as yet existed.”
— Psalm 139:13-16 (NRSVA) —

“For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.”

I am thankful for my mom, she taught me so many valuable life lessons. God truly blessed me with such a remarkable woman, that I get to call mom!

“Ode to a capable wife” -Proverbs 31:10-31

These are the words I would use to describe my mother…

“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her happy; her husband too, and he praises her.”
— Proverbs 31:25-28 (NRSVA) —

It has been nine birthdays without my mom, I miss her everyday. Today, I heard the song posted below and it made me think of my mom and when I will see her again. It brought me much comfort and hope it does for you as well.

I have had a great day, friends and family sent birthday wishes in cards and text messages. I was privileged to have dinner at one of my favorite restaurants with four friends that love me like family and I adore them, the Olson’s and the Flinn’s.

Thank you friends for stopping by my blog today. I wish you good health and happiness! And, love…lots of love. 💗

“We love because he first loved us.”

Who…

  gives me blue skies,

  and tells me no lies.

gives me strength when I am weak,

  and wisdom to be meek.

  fills my darkness with light,

  on a cold winters’ night.

  makes me laugh,

and leads me on my path.

Who…

  is this so true,

it is you, Mother, YOU!
